Product details

The Coronado 24 ft. round sub-assembly, part 5-4924-139-54, is the structural package for a CaliMar above ground pool with a 54 in. wall. It is a resin and hybrid build with 8 in. top rails, and the finished pool holds 12,974 gallons.

Resin and hybrid construction

A resin and hybrid frame uses resin in the parts that sit in the weather, which is where an all steel pool tends to show its age first. The 8 in. top rail is the part you notice in use: it is wide enough to lean on and to rest a brush or a leaf net on while you work around the pool.

Read the salt water rating before you plan

The manufacturer lists this package as not salt water rated. That matters if you were planning to fit a salt chlorine generator, because salt is hard on components that were not specified for it. Plan on traditional chlorine for this pool.

Ordering and delivery

Above ground pool components are made to one diameter and one wall height, so confirm that your pool is 24 ft. round with a 54 in. wall before you order. The package ships by freight, so arrange a delivery appointment and have help on hand to unload.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Can I run a salt system on this pool?
No. The manufacturer lists this package as not salt water rated, so it should be run on traditional chlorine rather than a salt chlorine generator.
How much water does the finished pool hold?
12,974 gallons. Use that figure when you calculate chemical doses and when you size a heater.
What are the top rails made of?
The package is listed as resin and hybrid construction, with an 8 in. top rail.
Will this fit a 27 ft. pool?
No. It is built for a 24 ft. round pool with a 54 in. wall. Above ground components are size specific and do not carry across diameters.
