Taylor R-0871-A is the FAS-DPD titrating solution in the .75 oz size. It is the titrant used in Taylor FAS-DPD test kits.

How a titration reads

Rather than matching a sample against a printed color block, the FAS-DPD method has you add the titrating solution one drop at a time and count until the sample turns. The count is the reading, so the result is a number you can record and compare rather than a judgment call about a shade of pink.

Keep it fresh

Reagents age. A bottle that has sat through a season loses accuracy, and a test you cannot trust is worse than no test. Replacing reagents every year is the simple rule.
