The Taylor 9056 is the comparator block from the 2000 Series test kit. It holds the treated water sample against the printed color standards so you can read bromine or chlorine on the high range scale and pH between 7.0 and 8.0.
Why replace the block
Comparators take the worst of the job. Reagent stains, scratches from the cap, and years of sun all shift how the printed standards look, and a faded block quietly biases every reading you take from it. If your kit reads differently than a service tech test on the same water, the block is worth changing before you blame the reagents.

This is the comparator on its own, not a complete kit. The DPD and pH reagents that go with the 2000 Series are ordered separately, so check the dates on your bottles at the same time.
