Koolgrips comfort covers slide over a pool handrail and change how it feels to hold. This is the 4 ft version, 48 inches long, made for 1.9 inch diameter tubing and finished in royal blue. It is listed as fitting standard rails from 1.625 inch to 1.900 inch, which covers 98% of common residential rails and ladders.

Why cover a rail

Stainless rails sit in full sun all day and get hot enough to be unpleasant, then turn cold in the off season. The cover puts a fabric layer between hand and metal in both directions, and it gives a nonslip grip on a surface that is usually wet when it matters most.

The fabric

The cover is a heavy duty woven polyester and spandex based fabric, blended with UPF and UV inhibitors so it holds its color outdoors, and treated to be anti-microbial. The range runs in six lengths, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 ft, and in three colors: royal blue, indian teal and desert tan, so a matching set can be run across several rails.
