The S.R. Smith EP-100F-MG is a marine grade stainless steel escutcheon plate, 4.5 inches across, for pool rails and ladders built on 1.90 inch outside diameter tubing.
What an escutcheon is for
It is the round plate that sits flat on the deck where the rail enters. It hides the anchor and the cut in the deck, keeps debris out of the anchor cup and gives the installation a finished edge. When the old plate goes dull, pits or disappears entirely, the anchor is left exposed.
Marine grade
This is the marine grade version, specified for the corrosion that comes with chlorinated and salted water. Fit it to a 1.90 inch OD rail. The anchor and wedge that actually hold the rail are separate parts.
