The S.R. Smith Artisan Series hand rail, part ART-1001, is supplied as a pair. It is a patented, designer inspired rail meant to give a custom look rather than the plain utility appearance of a standard rail.

Built for renovation

The reason it lands so often on remodel jobs is the anchoring. The Artisan Series hand rail retrofits into an existing Figure 4 setting, so the deck does not have to be cut and re-cored to change the look of the rails.

Is this one rail or two?
Two. ART-1001 is the pair. The Artisan Series is also offered as a single rail if you only need one side.
Will it fit my existing anchors?
It is built to retrofit into an existing Figure 4 setting, which is why it suits renovation work. Confirm the anchor setting in your deck before ordering.
Is it 304 or 316L stainless?
