The Coverstar A0797 is a tube insert with screw for a 5 inch automatic pool cover tube. It is the genuine Coverstar part.
What it does
The insert sits inside the end of the cover tube and gives the tube something solid to locate and turn on. When it wears, splits or works loose, the tube develops play at the end and the cover stops tracking the way it should. Replacing the insert is a far smaller job than dealing with the damage that comes from running a cover on a sloppy tube.
