⌄This kit turns a corded Poolmate Hydro 4 into a battery powered cleaner. The changeover takes about 30 seconds, and the floating battery then carries the cleaner for up to 3.5 hours on a charge.
Why a floating battery
Most battery cleaners carry their power pack and their radio underwater, which cuts the connection to the phone as soon as the unit sinks. The Hydro 4 battery stays on the surface instead. That keeps the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth link to the Poolmate app live for the whole cycle, so you can start a clean, change the cycle, set a schedule, read water temperature and watch the charge level while the cleaner is still working.
What is in the kit
The package holds the floating battery, a charger for it and the manual. Nothing else is needed to make the change, and the cleaner itself is not included.
