Product details

The S.R. Smith 27-107 is the 6 in. RockSolid anchor and cap for single post starting platforms. It is built to keep a platform from moving while still letting it come out of the deck when it is not in use.

How it holds the post

Inside the anchor is a bronze wedge assembly. As it is tightened, the wedge expands and puts continuous, even pressure on the platform post so the platform does not wobble. The anchor accepts posts made from 2.5 in. square tubing or 1.9 in. round tubing.

Permanent or removable

The anchor can hold a platform full time, or be loosened so the platform lifts out between uses. With the platform removed, the included cap sits in the anchor to leave the deck flush. S.R. Smith also offers a Safe-T-Cap, part 20-191, which locks in place using the anchor's own wedge bolt.

Installation and parts

S.R. Smith requires its 27-109 anchor set tool for proper installation. For decks with pavers it lists the 8 in. anchor, 27-107P, and a dual post anchor is required for Velocity Dual Post Long Reach starting blocks. The replacement wedge assembly is part 20-241 and the replacement anchor cap is 4-113-1.
