Decks rarely fail all at once. What shows up is a chip at a corner, a spalled patch where furniture sat, a small area lifted after a freeze. A 3 lb jar is enough material for that kind of work without buying a quantity sized for resurfacing the whole deck.

About the color

Sand Buff is matched to most pool decks, which is why it is the standard choice. Color on an aged deck is never a perfect match to anything, so put a small amount somewhere out of sight, let it cure, and look at it dry before committing to a repair in the middle of the deck.
