Product details

The S.R. Smith AS-100B-SS is a residential wedge anchor in 304 stainless steel, measuring 1.9 inches by 4 inches. It is the genuine S.R. Smith part.

What it does

Deck mounted rails and ladders do not bolt to the deck. They drop into anchors set into it, and a wedge inside the anchor clamps the leg so the rail cannot lift or rotate. That arrangement is what lets a rail be pulled for winter and put back in the spring without touching the concrete.

Before you order

Two things have to match: the tubing diameter and the anchor depth. This one is sized for 1.90 inch outside diameter tubing and is 4 inches deep. Check the pocket in your deck, because anchors are also made in deeper versions and the wrong depth will not seat.
