Product details

The S.R. Smith AS-100P is a universal anchor for 1.90 inch rails and pool games, injection molded in plastic. It is the genuine S.R. Smith part.

Depth and the spacer

The anchor is 6 inches deep and ships with a 2 inch spacer, so the same part covers a 6 inch pocket or, with the spacer fitted, a 4 inch socket. That flexibility is the reason it is called universal, and it is worth knowing before you cut a new deck pocket.

What is in the box

A bronze wedge, a stainless steel bolt and a 1/4-20 UNC ground screw come with the anchor, along with the anchor cap. The cap matters more than it looks: with the rail or game post out for the season, the cap keeps the socket clear of grit and leaves the deck flush and safe to walk on.

Why plastic

An anchor spends its life buried in wet concrete. The molded plastic body does not corrode there, so the wedge still lets go when you need the rail out years later.
