The S.R. Smith AS-104MG is a 4 inch deep deck anchor in 316 marine grade stainless steel, supplied with its wedge and sized for 1.90 inch OD tubing. S.R. Smith recommends it for ladders and rails.

Why the grade matters

316 marine grade stainless resists corrosion far better than lesser grades in the wet, chlorinated air around a pool. That protects the anchor itself and helps the equipment sitting in it stay looking newer for longer.

Matching metals

Stainless equipment set into a stainless anchor avoids the galvanic corrosion that shows up as discoloration when dissimilar metals are put together. That is why matching the anchor to the rail is worth doing rather than reusing whatever is in the deck.
