The S.R. Smith 400-7000-BC is the LiftOperator Intelligent 4 button control box in the CEC compliant BC version.

Why the BC version

Since January 2, 2018, S.R. Smith lifts bound for California use the CEC compliant BC versions of the LiftOperator battery, charger and control box, and those BC parts do not interchange with the standard LiftOperator parts. The standard 4 button control, 400-7000, is the one named in the PAL2 and PAL2 Hi/Lo parts lists. The BC box is not named in the owner manual parts lists, so match it to your lift by serial number. Check the lift serial number before you order a battery, charger or control box. The aXs2 has its own BC controller, 400-7000AX-BC.

What the LiftOperator does

In the S.R. Smith manuals, the LiftOperator control box runs every movement of the lift and its touchpad arrows match the 4 button hand control: up, down, left and right. The battery pack sits on top, and battery level LEDs show green, amber or red. The red emergency stop button halts all movement and sounds an alert until it is turned to reset. If a lift will not move on a second fully charged battery, the manuals say to replace the control box.

What is the difference between 400-7000-BC and 400-7000?
Since January 2, 2018, S.R. Which lift is the 400-7000-BC for?
None of the owner manual parts lists here name 400-7000-BC, so match it to your lift by serial number before ordering. The aXs2 has its own BC controller, 400-7000AX-BC.
How do I know the control box has failed?
The S.R. Smith troubleshooting steps say to try a second fully charged battery. If the lift still does nothing, replace the control box.
