Product details

The S.R. Smith 1001495-BC-R is a 24 V rechargeable LiftOperator battery in the BC version, made for pool lifts that must meet the 2018 California and Oregon CEC battery charging rules.

Why the BC version

Since January 2, 2018, new S.R. Smith lifts shipped into California carry LiftOperator control boxes, batteries and charging systems that satisfy the California Energy Commission. Those BC parts cannot be swapped with the regular LiftOperator ones. When you order a replacement for a California lift, S.R. Smith asks for the lift serial number.

California installations need the CEC compliant BC version of the battery, charger and control box, which are not interchangeable with the standard parts.

Use and care

The battery works with the LiftOperator Intelligent Control. Keep it on the charger whenever the lift is idle so it is ready for the next transfer. A replacement charger is a separate part, and a lift that does not need the CEC version uses the standard LiftOperator battery instead.

What is the difference between 1001495-BC-R and the standard LiftOperator battery?
The BC version is built for the California Energy Commission charging rules that took effect for new lifts shipped into California on January 2, 2018. The CEC parts and the standard parts are not compatible with each other.
Do I need my lift serial number to order this battery?
For California lifts, S.R. Smith asks for the lift serial number when replacement LiftOperator components are ordered, so have it ready.
Should I leave this battery on the charger?
Yes. The manufacturer says to keep the battery on the charger whenever the lift is not in use.
Does the battery come with a charger?
No. The charger is a separate S.R. Smith part, so check whether yours also needs replacing.
