Product details

The S.R. Smith 1001495 is the new style 24 V rechargeable Lift-Operator battery for multiLift, PAL, Splash and aXs pool lifts built from January 2012.

New style or old style

S.R. Smith made two generations of this pack. Look at the lift control box: a red emergency stop button means the lift takes this battery, and no button means it takes the older 100-2000. The new pack only works on lifts that use the LiftOperator Intelligent Control, so check the build date on the data plate before you order.

What it does

The lift runs each cycle off this battery, so seat travel, rotation and the hold under load all depend on it. Batteries age whether or not the lift gets used, which is why a lift that sat through a closed season often needs one. The pack is non-spillable and is also listed as 1001495-R.

The charger is not included. It is a separate part, number 1001530 in the Splash parts list. California installations need the CEC compliant BC version of the battery, charger and control box, which are not interchangeable with the standard parts.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

How do I know if my lift needs the 1001495 battery?
Check the control box. A red emergency stop button means the lift takes this newer battery, and no button means it takes the older 100-2000 pack.
Which lifts use the 1001495?
It is listed for multiLift, PAL, Splash! and aXs lifts, specifically units built from January 2012 with the LiftOperator Intelligent Control.
Does the battery come with a charger?
No. The charger is a separate S.R. Smith part, number 1001530 in the Splash! parts list.
How do I know the battery needs replacing?
Packs age even when the lift sits idle, so a lift that fades mid cycle or will not lift after a full charge likely needs a new one. Check the lift build date on the data plate before ordering.
