The S.R. Smith 120-1100 is the 24 V DC motor that rotates the seat on PAL2, Splash! and PAL pool lifts. The actuator raises and lowers the seat; this motor turns it toward the water and back.

The manufacturer parts lists name 120-1100 for the PAL2 and PAL2 Hi/Lo, the Splash!, Splash! 300, Splash! Hi/Lo and Spa, Splash! Extended Reach and Extended Reach Hi/Lo, and the CEC compliant PAL and PAL Hi/Lo and Spa. On these lifts the rotation motor assembly is a mounting plate, this 24 V motor and the small gear 800-5065, with the mount listed as 120-1000. The aXs2 is the exception: its parts list calls for motor 120-2100A.
Rating and wiring
S.R. Smith rates the rotation at 24 V DC and 13 RPM with a 9:1 gearing ratio. The motor cable has a red stripe and plugs into connector 1 on the bottom of the LiftOperator control box.
Diagnosing a lift that will not turn
Charge the battery fully first. If the lift rises and lowers but will not rotate, check the plug and the cable, then try the arrows on the control box. Swapping the motor and actuator cables at connectors 1 and 2 shows whether the fault is in the hand control or in the 24 V motor. The part is also listed as 120-1100-R.
