Product details

The Poolstyle WTB-1006 is a single chamber water tube measuring one foot by ten feet in 20 gauge. Water tubes are what hold a winter cover down along the edge of the pool.

Single chamber, ten feet

One chamber runs the full length of the tube. A ten foot tube covers a long stretch of cover edge in one piece, which leaves fewer gaps between tubes for wind to lift the cover through. 20 gauge is the heavier of the two gauges normally sold for winter use.

Filling

Tubes arrive empty and are filled where they will sit, because a filled tube is too heavy to move any distance. Do not fill to the top. Water expands as it freezes, and a tube filled solid has nowhere to put that expansion, which is how seams split over the winter. Leave a few inches of air.

Single chamber. Double chamber tubes are a separate item.
How full should I fill it?
Not full. Leave air space so the water has somewhere to go when it freezes and expands, otherwise the seam splits over winter.
What does 20 gauge mean?
It is the thickness of the tube material. 20 gauge is the heavier of the common winter water tube gauges.
