Product details

The Feherguard FG-RS26 is a pack of 10 replacement reel straps, each 26 in. long, for connecting a solar blanket to the tube of a solar cover reel.

What the straps do

The straps are the link between the blanket and the reel. One end of each strap is fixed to the reel tube and the other is fastened to the edge of the solar blanket, so the blanket winds onto the tube as the reel turns. Feherguard fixes the strap to the tube with a stainless steel screw and holds it to the blanket with a strap plate and plastic screw.

When to replace them

Straps spend the season in sun and pool water, and Feherguard treats them, along with strap plates and screws, as consumable parts. Replace them when they fray, stiffen or tear, before one lets go and the blanket pulls onto the reel unevenly.

Before you order

This pack is straps only. Feherguard sells the fasteners as FG-PFS, with 10 strap plate sets and 10 stainless steel screws, and a complete tube and blanket fastening kit, FG-FASKIT, with straps and fasteners together. Strapping also comes on a 50 ft roll, FG-RS50.

What comes in the FG-RS26 package?
The Feherguard FG-RS26 package holds 10 straps, each 26 in. long. Feherguard sells the fasteners separately as FG-PFS, with 10 strap plate and plastic screw sets and 10 stainless steel screws.
How do the FG-RS26 straps attach?
Feherguard fastens each strap to the reel tube with a stainless steel screw and holds it to the solar blanket with a strap plate and plastic screw. Those screws and plates are not part of the FG-RS26 pack.
Will these straps fit my solar reel?
The Feherguard FG-RS26 is replacement strapping listed for above ground solar cover reel systems. If your reel joins the blanket to the tube with straps, measure an old strap and compare it with the 26 in. length.
Which Feherguard strap kit do I need?
