The PoolTux WTB-1018 is a 4 x 4 ft equalizer air pillow made to go under an above ground pool winter cover, in blue.
What it does
Placed under the cover before winter, an air pillow like this gives ice room to expand as the water freezes, so the pressure pushes against the pillow instead of the pool wall or the cover itself, helping reduce the chance of winter damage over the off season.
Keeps water off the cover
Because the pillow floats under the cover, it also helps push standing water toward the edges and off the top of the cover instead of letting it collect and freeze in the middle, which keeps extra weight off the cover through the winter and makes the cover easier to handle at spring opening.
