Product details

The Swimline 5100SK is a replacement strap kit for universal pool solar cover reels, made by International Leisure Products. It restores the connection between the reel tube and the solar blanket.

The part that wears out first

A solar reel is mostly tube and frame, and those last for years. The straps do not. They carry the full weight of a wet blanket every time the cover is rolled in, and they sit in sun and pool chemistry the entire season. When a strap lets go, the cover drags, winds crooked or comes off the reel altogether.

Before you order

This kit is the straps alone, for a reel system you already have. It is sold as a universal kit, so check how your current straps attach at the tube and at the cover to be sure the arrangement matches.

Will these fit my reel?
They are made as a universal solar cover reel strap kit, so they suit universal style reel systems rather than one named model. Compare your existing strap layout before ordering.
Is this the straps only?
Yes. The kit is replacement straps for a reel you already own, not a complete reel system.
Why did my old straps fail?
Straps sit in sun, chlorine and water all season and take the pull of the whole blanket every time you wind it in. They stretch, fray and then tear at the attachment point.
Do I need to replace all of them?
It is worth doing the whole set. Straps age at the same rate, so once one tears the rest are usually close behind.
