Product details

The Swimline HydroTools 8005B is an economy leaf skimmer net for residential pools: a heavy mesh bag on a plastic frame that fits all standard pool poles.

Heavy mesh, light frame

The mesh grade is what separates a net that lasts a season from one that splits the first time it lifts a load of soaked leaves. This one uses the heavy mesh. The frame is plastic, which keeps the weight down at the far end of a long pole and means nothing corrodes when the net lives outdoors.

Fitting and use

The net attaches to a standard pool pole, so it works with whatever pole is already in your shed. Skim the surface before debris waterlogs and sinks, and the vacuum and the filter both have less to do afterward.

Does a pole come with it?
This is the net head. It is made to fit all standard pool poles, so use the pole you already have.
Is the mesh deep enough for wet leaves?
It is the heavy mesh version rather than the lightest grade, which is what lets it carry a full load of wet leaves off the surface.
What is the frame made of?
Plastic. It stays light on the end of a long pole and will not rust.
Is this a flat skimmer or a deep rake?
It is a leaf skimmer net for surface work. A deep bag rake is a separate tool for scooping debris off the floor.
