Product details

The Swimline Hydro Tools 8039 is the professional, heavy duty leaf skimmer in the Hydro Tools range. The frame is structural molded plastic and the basket is fine mesh.

Built to be used

A skimmer net is the tool that comes off the wall most often, and light ones flex and fail at the frame long before the mesh gives out. This one is molded as a sturdy structural frame, which is what makes it the heavy duty version.

The tapered edge

The front lip is tapered. That matters more than it sounds: a blunt rim pushes a pile of leaves ahead of it, while a tapered edge slides underneath so debris on the floor or on a step lifts into the basket on the first pass.

Fine mesh

The mesh is fine enough to hold small debris rather than letting it sift straight back into the water, so one pass actually removes what it picks up.

What is the frame made of?
