Quick overview

  • Quiet by design The motor mount, not packing foam, is what keeps the Silencer quiet.
  • Rubber cup mount A thick rubber cup encases the fan while the motor vibrates freely on a flexible rubber base.
  • Virtually no foam needed The mount does the work, so the blower does not depend on sound foam to run quietly.
  • Foam can be a liability Filter foam in competing blowers may clog over time, which starves the blower and lets it overheat.
  • 2 HP at 240 V Rated 2 HP, 240 volts, 5.0 amps.
  • Check the voltage This is the 240 volt version, part 6320241. Confirm the spa pack supply before ordering.

Product details

The Silencer from Air Supply of the Future is an air blower rated 2 HP at 240 volts and 5.0 amps, part number 6320241. It supplies the air that produces the bubbles in a spa, working alongside but separately from the jet pump.

How it stays quiet

The motor mount is the reason for the name. A thick rubber cup encases the fan while the motor is left free to vibrate on a flexible rubber base, so vibration is absorbed rather than transmitted into the cabinet. That approach means the blower needs virtually no sound absorbing foam.

Why that matters

Many blowers rely on filter foam to bring the noise down. Foam can pack and clog over time, and a blower starved of air runs hot. Handling noise at the mount instead avoids that failure mode entirely.

Before you order

This listing is the 240 volt version. Check the supply at the spa pack, since the 120 volt Silencer is a different part number.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What voltage is this blower?
240 volts, drawing 5.0 amps at 2 HP. Part number 6320241.
What makes it quieter than other blowers?
The motor mount. A thick rubber cup encases the fan while the motor is free to vibrate on a flexible rubber base, so the noise is absorbed at the source.
Does it use sound absorbing foam?
Virtually none is required. That matters because filter foam can clog with time, starving the blower of air and letting it overheat.
What does an air blower do on a spa?
It pushes air into the spa air channels to produce the bubbles, separate from the water jets driven by the pump.
