How it stays quiet

Most of the noise a blower makes is vibration passed from the motor into whatever it is bolted to. The Silencer answers that at the mount: a thick rubber cup encases the fan while the motor is free to vibrate on a flexible rubber base. What makes this one quieter than other blowers?

The motor mount. A thick rubber cup surrounds the fan and the motor sits on a flexible rubber base, so vibration is absorbed at the source rather than being packed around with foam.

Why does foam packing matter?
