Product details

The Air Supply of the Future 1112500 is a union check valve for spa blowers, built with a clear PVC body so the valve can be inspected without opening it up.

Why a blower needs one

A blower pushes air into the spa, and without a one way valve in the line, water finds its way back up the pipe toward the blower when the air stops. That is how blowers die. The check valve is the cheap part that stands between the water and the expensive one.

How it is built

The seal is drip proof, which keeps air from leaking out of the line, and the spring is a 1/4 lb. dome shape chosen to give balanced, even airflow rather than a hard snap. That spring is Underwriters Recognized stainless steel, so it holds up in the warm, wet air a blower line carries.

Fitment

Air Supply lists the valve for 1 1/2 inch IPS and 2 inch O.D. spigot, and the union connection means it can be taken off for service without cutting into the pipe. Measure the plumbing you are joining before ordering.

What does a blower check valve do?
It lets air travel one way, from the blower into the spa, and stops water traveling back the other way into the blower.
What size plumbing does it take?
Air Supply lists it for 1 1/2 inch IPS and 2 inch O.D. spigot. The listing title calls it a 2 inch valve, so measure the pipe you are connecting to before ordering.
Why is the body clear?
So the valve can be inspected without being taken apart. If it is stuck or fouled you can usually see it.
