The Balboa 16-5230WHT is the white grill and flow path assembly used inside HydroAir Micro'ssage spa jets. It is the internal piece that sits behind the visible trim, and it is what separates a Micro'ssage jet from an ordinary fixed therapy jet.
What it does
Water entering the jet is routed through the flow path so the discharge sweeps instead of holding one fixed line. That is the massaging action the jet is named for. When the assembly cracks, wears or seizes, the jet still passes water but the feel goes flat, and owners usually notice the difference on one seat before the others.
Fitting and care
The assembly drops into the existing jet body in place of the old one, so nothing behind the spa shell has to be touched. It is molded plastic and runs without lubrication, so there is no periodic servicing once it is in.
