Laing Thermotech E5 Spa Circulation Pump with 4' Cord, 120/240V, 3/4" Barb

The Laing Thermotech E5, part 10-0102-K, is a spa circulation pump with 3/4 in. barb connections and a 4 ft cord fitted. It is the current replacement for the SilentFlo 5000 (72204) and all earlier single speed circulation pumps on Caldera, Hot Spring and Tiger River spas, where it carries the Watkins part number 74427. HydroQuip lists it as 10-0102-K and Laing as E5-NCHNNNN3W-10.

Performance

The E5 draws 39 watts and moves up to 6,000 gallons of water in 24 hours, a step up in capacity over the models it replaces. The magnetic drive starts gradually and primes with water reliably.

Run it wet

The pump is water lubricated and should only be run with water in the spa. If it does run dry, a thermal cut-off shuts it down before it overheats; switch it off for 10 seconds and back on to reset.

Wiring note

This newer model no longer needs a bonding lug. Connect the green wire in the cord to a grounding location inside the controller.
