Product details

The Hydro-Quip BES6000 is a packaged baptismal heating and control system with a 5.5 kW heater, running on 120/240 volt service. It handles the heating and the control of baptismal equipment as one unit rather than as separately assembled parts.

Electrical

Hydro-Quip specifies four wire, 60 Hz service. The BES6000 and the BES6000T are both listed at a total amp draw of 36A with a 50 amp circuit breaker. That is a dedicated circuit, and it is worth confirming the panel has room before the system arrives.

Space

The cabinet for the 5.5 kW models is listed at 13 inches high by 27 inches wide by 15 inches deep. Hydro-Quip separately gives a minimum space required of 14 inches high by 26 inches wide by 16 inches deep. Those two figures disagree on width, so plan the alcove around the larger of the two and leave room to get a hand behind the unit.
