The Sta-Rite 77707-0234 is the tube sheet coil assembly kit for Pentair MasterTemp and Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm heaters, models 400NA and 400LP, built prior to 1-12-09.

What makes these heat exchangers different

On the MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm, the tubes in the tube sheet assembly are generally round in shape rather than straight and flat like most other heaters on the market. The plate at the end of the tubes measures 5-1/2 in. wide by 8-1/2 in. tall, the assembly is roughly 13 in. side to side, and it runs about 15 in. from the end of the plate to the opposite end of the coil.

A kit, not just a coil

Replacing a heat exchanger disturbs a lot of sealing surfaces, and this kit accounts for that. It includes eight coil o-rings, eight tube sheet seals, the tube sheet coil assembly, a sheet metal warning label, a metal tube replacement o-ring, a manifold bypass valve package, a tube of high temperature RTV silicone, a koala wool insulation service kit, a blower and adapter plate gasket, and an ignitor and gasket kit.

Before you order

Confirm the model and build date on the heater data plate. This kit is for 400NA and 400LP units built prior to 1-12-09, and heaters built after that date use a different assembly.
