Product details

The HydroQuip BCS6000-U is a packaged heating control system for baptistries, with a 5.5 kW heater and no pump option. It is the base unit in the BCS6000 series.

What it is for

A baptistry is filled and heated to a comfortable temperature for a service, then left. That is a different job from a spa that holds temperature all week, and the BCS6000 series is built around it: one enclosure carrying the heater and the controls for it.

Sizing the installation

The BCS6000-U enclosure is 15 in wide by 12 in high by 4 in deep, and HydroQuip asks for a minimum working space of 15 in high by 18 in wide by 6 in deep. It runs on a 4-wire service at 50/60Hz and draws 23A in total, so have a licensed electrician size the circuit and make the connection. The unit carries a one year limited warranty.
