Hydroquip 34-0002 is a replacement SPDT air switch rated at 25 amps. It is the switch an air button actually operates inside the equipment pack.
How the circuit works
Nothing electrical runs out to the button on the deck. Pressing it sends a pulse of air down a length of small bore tubing to this switch, and the switch handles the load. That arrangement is why an air button can sit within reach of the water in the first place.
Single pole double throw
SPDT means one common contact that connects to one of two outputs. It is worth checking the configuration of the switch you are replacing, because latching and momentary versions and different contact arrangements are used across equipment packs.
Before you order
A dead button is not always a dead switch. Trace the air tubing first and look for cracks, kinks and water sitting in the line. If the tubing is sound and the button still does nothing, the switch is the next thing to change.
