Product details
The FLSW is the flow switch from IPS Controllers. It installs in the flow cell and gives the controller a positive signal that water is actually moving through the sample line.
Why the interlock matters
A chemical controller should only feed when there is flow to carry and dilute what it doses. If the pump is off and the controller keeps feeding, concentrated chemical pools in the line, which is hard on plumbing and equipment and does nothing for the water. The flow switch is the piece that makes feeding conditional on circulation.

What does this flow switch do?
It is the interlock that tells the controller whether water is moving. With no flow, chemical feeding is prevented.
Does the flow cell come with it?
No. This is the flow switch only. The flow cell it mounts into is a separate item.
Why does the controller need a flow switch at all?
Feeding chemical into a line with no circulation lets it sit undiluted, which is hard on equipment and does nothing for the pool. The switch makes feeding conditional on real flow.
What are the signs the switch has failed?
A controller that refuses to feed while the pump is clearly running, or one that feeds with the pump off, points at the flow switch or its wiring.
