Product details
The IPS Controllers SXPH is the pH sensor for IPS controllers. It is the blue top probe, and it measures the pH in the pool or spa.
What it does
The controller decides when to feed acid or base from what the pH probe reports. When the probe is accurate the water stays in range on its own. When it drifts, the controller keeps dosing against a reading that is not true.

What does this sensor measure?
pH in the pool or spa water.
Is this the ORP sensor?
No. This is the pH sensor, the blue top probe. The ORP sensors are separate parts.
How do I know when to replace a pH probe?
When readings drift or will not settle after cleaning and calibration, the probe is worn and a new one is the fix.
Why does an accurate pH reading matter?
The controller decides when to feed chemicals based on what the probe tells it. A probe reading high or low sends the whole system in the wrong direction.
