Product details

The Pentair 522187Z is the replacement ORP sensor for the IntelliChem chemical controller, supplied without the sensor wire. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What it does

IntelliChem reads two probes, one for pH and one for ORP, and uses those readings to decide when to feed chemicals. The ORP sensor measures oxidation reduction potential, which is how the controller judges sanitizer activity. When the probe ages and its readings drift, the controller doses on bad information. Replacing the sensor restores the reading the whole system depends on.

Before you order

This listing is the sensor only. The wire is not included, so it suits an installed IntelliChem where the existing cable is undamaged. If you need the pH probe instead, that is a separate Pentair part.

Does this come with the wire?
No. Pentair 522187Z is the sensor alone, for installations where the existing IntelliChem sensor wire is still in good condition.
Is this the pH sensor or the ORP sensor?
ORP. IntelliChem uses two probes, and the pH sensor is a separate Pentair part.
Will it work with my IntelliChem?
It is the Pentair OEM replacement ORP sensor for the IntelliChem chemical controller.
Why are my ORP readings drifting?
Probes wear with time and lose accuracy. A sensor that no longer reads reliably after cleaning and calibration is due for replacement.
