The IPS VP501 is a two pack of replacement squeeze tubes for VidaPure peristaltic pumps, listed as compatible with IPX controllers. It is the wear part inside the pump head.
How a peristaltic pump wears
There is no impeller and no seal in a peristaltic pump. A set of rollers pinches a flexible tube against the pump housing and pushes chemical along it. That means the tube absorbs all of the mechanical work, and it is meant to be replaced on a schedule rather than run until it fails.
Why the timing matters
Dosing accuracy falls off before the tube visibly gives out. As the wall softens and takes a set, each revolution moves less liquid than the controller expects, so the system quietly under doses. Fitting a fresh tube brings the output back to where the controller is calculating from.
