The Pentair 744000290 is the three foot pH sensor cable for the IntelliChem chemical controller. It is the genuine Pentair part, supplied as the cable alone.
Why the cable matters
A pH probe produces a very small electrical signal, and the controller acts on it directly. That makes the cable more than a piece of wire. Cuts in the jacket, a kinked run or corrosion at the connector all show up the same way: readings that drift, jump or refuse to settle after calibration, and a controller that doses on bad information.
Before you order
This listing replaces the cable, not the probe. If the sensor itself has aged past calibration you need the pH sensor as well. The ORP side of IntelliChem uses its own separate parts.

Is the pH sensor included?
No. This is the cable only. If the probe itself is worn out, that is a separate part.
Is this the pH cable or the ORP cable?
pH. IntelliChem runs a pH probe and an ORP probe, and they are handled separately.
How long is it?
Three feet.
My pH reading jumps around. Could the cable be the cause?
It can be. A pH probe generates a tiny signal, so a cut, kinked or corroded cable produces readings that drift or jump even when the probe is fine.
