Product details

The IPS Controllers SXORP is a yellow top ORP sensor with a platinum tip. It measures oxidation reduction potential in a non-salt pool or spa and feeds that reading to the IPS controller.

Yellow top or green top

IPS colors the caps to keep the two sensors apart. The yellow top SXORP is for pools that are not salt chlorinated. Salt pools use the green top SXORPG with a gold tip. The SXORPGEX is the exchange version offered with a new controller purchase.

Can I use this on a salt pool?
No. The yellow top SXORP is for non-salt pools and spas. Salt pools need the green top SXORPG, which has a gold tip.
What is ORP?
Oxidation reduction potential, a measure of how effectively the sanitizer in the water is working. The controller reads it through this sensor and doses accordingly.
What is the SXORPGEX?
The exchange version of the salt pool sensor, offered when a new controller is purchased.
Which pH sensor goes with it?
The IPS Controllers SXPH.
