The Jandy R0411600 is the OEM gear kit for the 2444 Jandy valve actuator.

The failure it fixes

A valve actuator turns a small motor through a plastic gear train to swing the valve. The gears take the whole load every time the valve moves against pressure, and they are the part that gives out. The tell is unmistakable: you hear the actuator running on schedule but the valve handle never moves, or it moves partway and stalls.

Worth doing

The motor, housing and limit switches usually outlive the gears by years, so replacing the gear train puts a working actuator back on the valve for a fraction of a new unit. Check the actuator style before ordering, because Jandy has built more than one and this kit is for the 2444.
