How an air switch is used
Air switches let a bather start a pump or a blower without any electrical connection at the button. Pressing the button sends a pulse of air down a small tube to the switch, which sits back at the equipment. The diaphragm inside moves and closes the circuit. Because only air travels to the button, there is no line voltage anywhere the user can reach.
