Pentair SunTouch Single Body Control System, Includes Temp Sensors and 3 Relays

The Pentair SunTouch 520859 is a single body control system for a pool and spa that share one filtration system. It replaces the mechanical time clock with a power center that runs the pump, heater and up to four feature circuits on schedules, with manual override when you want the spa on now.

What it controls

Each circuit can hold 4 operating schedules, up to 6 per system, so filtration, cleaner, lights and solar can each run on their own timing. It works with gas or electric heaters, heat pumps and solar, and holds temperature in 1 degree steps. It also supports one IntelliFlo pump and the IntelliChlor salt chlorine generator, so pump speed and chlorine output live in the same control.

Why bother

Scheduling lets you run the pump during off peak electrical rates and stop paying for hours you do not need. Heating the spa on demand instead of leaving it up to temperature is the other saving.
