What it does
The tube bundle is where the heater actually heats. Burner heat passes over the finned copper tubes while pool water runs through them, and the bundle is what carries that transfer. A bundle that has scaled, corroded or split is the end of a heater that will not hold temperature or that leaks into the burner tray.
