Raypak 266A Polymer Cu-Ni Tube Bundle, 014931F

The Raypak 014931F is the cupronickel tube bundle for the 266A pool and spa heater with polymer headers, the set of tubes that carries pool water through the heat exchanger.

Where it is listed

Raypak lists 014931F in its parts list for the 206A through 406A heaters, under the polymer heat exchanger, as the cupronickel tube bundle for the 266A on units built from July 2013. The other sizes have their own numbers: 014930F for the 206A, 014932F for the 336A and 014933F for the 406A.

Copper or cupronickel

Raypak states that copper and cupronickel heat exchangers and tube bundles are not interchangeable. Heaters with the suffix C use copper parts, listed for the 266A as 010060F, and heaters with the suffix X use cupronickel parts such as this one. The model name on the rating plate, for example 266A-EN-X, shows which you have.

When the bundle fails

Raypak warns that the water conditions that caused a tube bundle to fail have very likely also damaged the bypass valve and the Unitherm Governor. It recommends replacing the Unitherm Governor, 006719F, and inspecting the bypass assembly when the bundle is changed. The header O-ring gasket, 006713F, the flange nut kit, 008259F, and the cupronickel baffle, 014935F, are listed as separate parts.

Confirm the model, the X suffix and the polymer headers. Bronze header ASME models have their own tube bundles.
