The Raypak 017978F is the cupronickel tube bundle for model 206A and 207A pool heaters. It is the genuine Raypak part.
What the bundle does
The tube bundle is the heat exchanger at the center of the heater. Pool water is pumped through its tubes while the burner fires below, and the heat passes through the tube walls into the water. Everything else in the heater exists to control and support that transfer.
Cupronickel
Raypak offers bundles in more than one material, and this is the cupronickel version. Cupronickel is the more corrosion resistant option, which is why it is specified where water chemistry is harder on a standard copper bundle. Bundles are model specific, so confirm the model on the heater rating plate before ordering.
