Raypak 017979F is the cupro nickel heat exchanger tube bundle for the Raypak 266A and 267A pool heaters. It is the genuine Raypak part.
What the tube bundle does
The tube bundle is the point where the burner heat and the pool water meet. Water is pumped through the tubes while combustion gases pass around them, and everything the heater does depends on that transfer. When the bundle corrodes through or plugs up, the heater either stops making temperature or starts leaking into the burner tray, and no amount of work on the controls will fix it.
Cupro nickel or copper
Raypak builds this exchanger in two metals, and they are not interchangeable. A cupro nickel bundle is not compatible with the copper version of the same heater. Check which one your heater was built with before ordering, because the wrong metal is not a substitution you can make in the field.
