Raypak Genuine OEM Cupro-Nickel Tube Bundle ASME (406A, 407A), 010371F

Raypak 010371F is the ASME certified cupro-nickel tube bundle for the model 406A and 407A heaters. It is the genuine Raypak part for the metal heat exchanger, and it ships with the baffle, a stud bolt kit and nine header gaskets.

Why the bundle gets replaced

The tube bundle is where combustion heat crosses into the water, so it takes the worst of both sides: flame and flue gas outside, pool chemistry inside. Low pH, high salt or long running with poor water balance thins the tubes until they leak, and a leaking bundle drips onto the burner tray and rusts out the rest of the heater in short order.

Cupro nickel

Copper nickel is the harder wearing choice. It costs more than a plain copper bundle and it survives water that would take a copper exchanger out early, which is why it is standard on salt pools and the sensible replacement when the original copper bundle has already failed once.

Before you order

Confirm the heater is a 406A or 407A and that it is the ASME build. Replace the header gaskets that come in the kit rather than reusing the old ones, and inspect the headers and the burner tray while the heater is apart.
