The Raypak P-R266A-EN-C is a 266,000 BTU natural gas heater for inground pools and spas, part number 009217. It uses electronic ignition with a digital display, so there is no pilot to light and the water temperature is set and read from the panel. This is the version built for 0 to 2,000 ft elevation.

Built for the outdoors

The cabinet is corrosion resistant galvanized metal and the heat exchanger is copper fin tube, the combination Raypak uses on its fresh water heaters. The low profile design keeps the unit compact on the equipment pad, and the heater is engineered to run through a wide range of weather rather than only in mild conditions.

Is this natural gas or propane?
Natural gas. This is the natural gas version of the 266K BTU Raypak Digital heater. A propane pool needs the propane model instead.
What elevation is it rated for?
0 to 2,000 ft above sea level. Raypak builds a separate version for higher altitude, so check the elevation of the pool site before ordering.
Can it heat a spa as well as the pool?
Yes. It is built for inground pools and spas, and 266,000 BTU of input brings a spa up to temperature quickly.
How does it ship?
By freight carrier on a pallet. A full size gas heater is too large and heavy for parcel service, so plan for a curbside delivery and have help on hand to move it.
