Product details

The Pentair MasterTemp 125 is a 125,000 BTU natural gas pool heater built for smaller bodies of water, up to 15,000 gallons. This is part number EC-462024, the natural gas model, supplied with its cord.

Compact and efficient

At 82 percent efficiency the MasterTemp 125 heats without the footprint or noise of a larger heater, so it fits on a crowded pad and does not intrude on time by the pool. The housing is corrosion and UV resistant for years outdoors.

Easy to run

The digital display rotates to suit any installation orientation, so it is readable whichever way the heater sits, and indicator lights make it simple to see what the system is doing at a glance.

Safety and emissions

A water pressure sensor and a stack flue sensor guard against overheating, the heater shuts itself off if temperature exceeds factory limits, and a manual shut-off is provided for service. The unit is certified for low NOx emissions.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What size pool is the Pentair MasterTemp 125 for?
Pentair names spas, above ground pools and inground pools up to 15,000 gallons. For your own pool, our pool heater size calculator works out the BTU from its surface, the temperature rise you want and the wind.
What are the dimensions of the MasterTemp 125?
31.5 inches long, 21 inches wide and 23 inches high, and 80 lb, by Pentair's brochure. The water connections are 1-1/2 inch.
What warranty does Pentair give the MasterTemp 125, EC-462024?
One year, parts only. That is Pentair's warranty for its e-commerce (EC) models and for online purchases. The two years printed in Pentair's brochures is its standard warranty, which does not cover a heater bought online.
Where is the manual for the MasterTemp 125?
Under Downloads on this page, as the Owners Manual. It is Pentair's MasterTemp 125 Installation and User's Guide, part number 475000.
Is EC-462024 the natural gas or the propane MasterTemp 125?
Natural gas. Pentair builds each MasterTemp 125 for one fuel, and the propane version is a separate part number.
Does the MasterTemp 125 have a pilot light?
No. It lights with a hot surface igniter on each call for heat, so there is no standing pilot to keep lit or relight.
