Product details

The Raypak 009216 is the 200,000 BTU natural gas heater in the Raypak Digital line, model P-R206A-EN-C. It is built for in-ground pools and spas and is the version configured for installations between sea level and 2,000 ft.

Digital ignition and control

There is no standing pilot. The burner lights electronically whenever the heater calls for heat, and the digital control holds the water at the temperature you set, whether that is a pool at swimming temperature or a spa turned up for the evening.

Built for the pad

The heat exchanger is copper fin tube, the standard Raypak exchanger for pools with properly balanced water. The cabinet is galvanized metal treated to resist corrosion, and the low profile shape keeps the heater from towering over the rest of the equipment. Raypak builds it to sit outdoors through rain and sun without complaint.

Confirm three things on the heater you are replacing: natural gas rather than propane, an elevation under 2,000 ft, and a 200K BTU size that suits your pool. This unit ships by freight.

Is Raypak 009216 natural gas or propane?
Natural gas. Raypak builds the 206A for one fuel, and sells the propane heater as a separate part number. Its natural gas to propane conversion kits are sold by altitude.
What elevation is Raypak 009216 rated for?
0 to 2,000 ft, by Raypak's catalog. Raypak sells the same heater jetted for three bands: #50 for 0 to 2,000 ft, #51 for 2,000 to 6,000 and #52 for 6,000 to 9,000, each under its own part number.
What do the messages on the Raypak 009216 display mean?
The display names the switch that opened. Water Sw Open is the water pressure switch, Hi Limit 1 or 2 a high limit, Rollout Sw Open the flame rollout switch, and Ignition Lockout a pilot or main burner that did not light in time. Our pool heater error code guide lists them all and what to check.
