⌄The Raypak 002003F is the genuine pilot for Raypak propane and natural gas pool heaters with intermittent ignition. One part covers both fuels, which saves sorting out which version you have.
Where it fits
Raypak lists the 002003F for the 53A, 53B, 055A and 055B IID heaters. It is also catalogued for the Versa 55A and 55B, the Versa 155A, 155B and 155C, and the RP2100 R185A through R405A heaters manufactured from 1993 to 1998. Check the model on your rating plate and compare the old pilot before ordering.
When to replace it
A pilot that has burned back or fouled is one of the usual reasons an IID heater sparks without lighting, or lights and drops out a moment later. Swapping the pilot is a routine repair, and using the OEM part keeps the flame shape and sensing the control expects.
